Recruitment Initiatives



Seneca Broadcasting LLC & the Seneca Nation have, and will continue to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.  As required by Section 73.2080 of the Commission’s Rules, the stations have participated in several different recruitment activities to ensure broad outreach, including the following:
Seneca Broadcasting has participated in an intern outreach & placement program with SUNY – Fredonia, offering opportunities to communications department students.
WGWE also participated in the Seneca Nation’s Youth Employment & Training program, hosting an intern during the summer (July & August) months
Seneca Broadcasting Operations & Programming Manager provided on-the job training for part-time announcers.    He conducted training sessions in areas of station operations, digital audio, web, live broadcast assist, voice techniques, public service and commercial recording, emergency alerts and weather coverage.    Sales training also provided, with additional sessions on ratings & revenue schedule and held on a semi-weekly / monthly basis
